Napa County Airport’s wooden hangars were built in 1947, soon after airport ownership was transferred from the United States Army to the County. They have a unique cantilever roof system and were constructed of redwood 2×4 studs and 1” x 1’ tongue and groove siding and roofing by Bridgford Aviation – a flight school that has trained over 7000 pilots in their time. They are the last original structures remaining at the airport today.
